Employee appearance contributes to Carolina Pintos Therapy, PLLC's culture, and reputation. Employees are expected to present themselves in a professional manner that results in a favorable impression by clients and customers.

Carolina Pintos Therapy, PLLC managers may exercise reasonable discretion to determine appropriateness in employee dress and appearance. Employees who do not meet a professional standard will be given the appropriate corrective action (verbal or written warning). Where a reasonable accommodation is requested, the Company will evaluate the request and an accommodation will be made where required.

Business casual attire:

Carolina Pintos Therapy, PLLC’s dress code is one of business casual attire for the office manager position and healthcare scrubs for the therapist positions. Basic elements for appropriate business casual attire includes:

Pants: Slacks, khakis or corduroys, and capris.
Shirts: Polo collar knit or golf shirts, oxford shirts, and short-sleeved blouses, turtlenecks, blazers or sport coats, jackets or sweaters.
Shoes: Dress shoes, high heels, dress boots.

Basic elements for appropriate healthcare scrubs include:

Pants: Scrub pants that are light grey, white, or light pink
Shirts: Long or short sleeve scrub shirts of a that are light grey, white, or light pink.
Shoes: Comfortable shoes that are light grey, white, or light pink may be worn. Dress shoes, high heels, dress boots may also be worn.

Appropriate workplace dress does not include clothing that is too tight or revealing; clothing with rips, tears, or frays; or any extreme style or fashion in dress, footwear, accessories, fragrances or hair. Examples of inappropriate clothing includes jeans, shorts, t-shirts without a collar, spaghetti strap tops, sweatshirts, tennis shoes, sneakers, sandals, and flip flops.

All clothing must be neat and clean in appearance.

If you do not meet the standards of this policy, corrective action will be taken, which may include the employee leaving the premises. Non-exempt employees will not be compensated for any work time missed because of failure to comply with this policy. Three (3) instances of corrective actions based on appearance, hygiene, or dress code in twelve (12) months or two (2) times within thirty (30) days is subject to further corrective actions, up to and including termination.
