Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is peptide therapy, and what do you offer in Houston?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signals in the body. Semaglutide and tirzepatide, the GLP-1 medications used in medical weight loss programs, are peptides. Our peptide therapy programs in Houston currently include compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide for weight management, plus Lipo-B, NAD+ and glutathione wellness injections. Everything is prescribed by independent licensed providers after an online medical intake.
Can I choose my medication or dose?
You tell us which program interests you. An independent licensed provider decides whether it is appropriate, the formulation and the dose, and may recommend something different or decline.
How much does a GLP-1 weight loss program cost in Houston?
One program price covers the medication, provider review, shipping and follow-up. Semaglutide runs $170 to $350 and tirzepatide $240 to $590 depending on dose type and whether you choose 28 or 56 days; wellness injections run $210 to $410. Each supply is one vial per 28 days, so a 56-day order may ship in two parts. The only separate charge is a $20 provider intake fee paid at intake. We keep a card on file during your call, but nothing is charged until a provider approves your plan at the price you saw in writing; if you are not approved, you pay nothing more. No membership and no automatic renewal.
Are compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide FDA approved?
No. These are compounded medications prepared by a licensed pharmacy for individual patients. The FDA does not review or approve compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality. FDA-approved weight management medications are available by prescription through retail pharmacies, and your provider can discuss whether one of those is a better fit for you.
What are the side effects of GLP-1 injections?
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and abdominal pain are the most common. Serious risks reported with this class include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney problems and, in animal studies, thyroid tumors. Compounded vials can come in different concentrations than brand pens, so measure every dose exactly as your provider and pharmacy instruct. Your provider reviews all of this with you before prescribing.
Who qualifies for medical weight management?
Adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a related condition such as insulin resistance, high blood pressure or sleep apnea, who are willing to complete a full medical history and follow-up check-ins. Pregnancy, a history of eating disorders, medullary thyroid cancer, pancreatitis, type 1 diabetes and several other conditions rule treatment out. The provider makes the final decision after reviewing your intake.
Do I need to come into the Memorial or Woodlands clinic?
No. The intake and provider review happen online, and the pharmacy ships to your door anywhere in Texas our provider network serves. You are welcome at either Houston location for questions about the program or for the lymphatic drainage, body slimming and skin tightening services we offer alongside it. Questions about your medication, dose or side effects go to your provider.
Do you offer BPC-157, TB-500 or other research peptides?
Not yet. In July 2026 the FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee recommended adding BPC-157, TB-500, KPV, MOTS-c, Epitalon and Semax to the list of substances pharmacies may compound, but a recommendation is not a rule, and as of today they are not cleared for compounding. We will add peptides to our Houston programs as they become legal to prescribe and compound. Clinics selling them now are doing so outside the rules.
