What a Venus Legacy Treatment Is Like
Every Venus Legacy treatment is 50-minutes on one area, face or body. It feels like a warm deep-tissue massage with a light pull, and both the heat and the suction are adjustable.

What is Venus Legacy and what is it FDA-cleared for?
Venus Legacy is a non-invasive radiofrequency device made by Venus Concept. In the United States it is FDA-cleared for the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite (with the 4D Body and 4D Face applicators) and for the non-invasive treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles (with the OctiPolar and DiamondPolar applicators). 510(k) devices are cleared by the FDA, not approved — different regulatory pathways. Uses associated with this device outside the US, such as circumferential reduction, are not part of its US clearance, so we do not claim them here.
How does Venus Legacy work?
Multi-Polar radiofrequency gently heats the deeper layers of the skin while Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields are delivered in the same pass, and on the body the VariPulse™ suction lifts the tissue so the energy reaches deeper and the contact stays even. A sensor in every applicator keeps the skin at a steady therapeutic temperature. Over a course of sessions this supports the skin’s own collagen and elastin, which is why the treatment leads with skin firmness and texture.
Which areas can Venus Legacy treat?
Face and body. On the face it is used for fine lines, crepey skin and a softer jawline and neck. Does Venus Legacy hurt, and is there any downtime?
Most clients describe it as a warm deep-tissue massage. The applicator glides over the skin while it gently heats the deeper layers, and the VariPulse™ suction feels like a light pull — both are adjustable, and you tell your therapist if it ever stops being comfortable. There is no downtime: people go back to their day straight afterwards. The area is usually warm and pink for a while, and mild bruising is the side effect that shows up most often in the published studies.
How many sessions will I need, and how often?
Venus Legacy works as a course rather than a single visit. Six sessions about a week apart is the usual plan, and the manufacturer’s own guidance is six to eight per area. The number depends on the area, your skin and what you are trying to achieve — your therapist confirms it at consultation, and the six-session package is priced around that plan.
How long is a session and what happens at my visit?
Each Venus Legacy session is 50 minutes on the area you choose. Your therapist screens you for suitability at the first visit, cleans the skin, applies a glide gel and works the applicator over the area while watching the temperature reading. You can put on lotion or make-up and return to your normal routine straight after. Sessions are available at both clinics; mention your preferred location when you book or call 713-474-4774.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Gradually, across the series. Some clients notice a change in texture after the first few sessions; results build as the course goes on and can keep improving for a few months after the last session. The cleared uses are written as temporary improvements, and skin keeps ageing, so most people keep a maintenance session in the calendar every one to four months. Individual results vary.
Does Venus Legacy remove fat or help me lose weight?
No. Its US clearances are about appearance, not fat removal: the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite, moderate to severe facial wrinkles, relief of minor muscle aches and pain, and temporary improvement of local blood circulation. It is not a weight-loss or fat-removal treatment. If circumference and a slimmer line are your main goal, VelaShape III may be the better fit.
How is Venus Legacy different from VelaShape III?
Different jobs, same price. Venus Legacy uses Multi-Polar radiofrequency, Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields and VariPulse™ suction and leads with skin quality — crepiness, laxity, facial wrinkles — and it is the only device here with a facial indication. VelaShape III combines infrared light, bipolar radiofrequency, vacuum and mechanical rollers and leads with shape: dimpling, circumference, a smoother thigh. Body only, never the face. Neither is better overall; your therapist decides with you at consultation.
Who should not have Venus Legacy?
The device is not for everyone. Pregnancy, a pacemaker or other implanted electrical device, metal implants in the treatment area (dental work is fine), active cancer treatment, uncontrolled thyroid disease, active infection or inflammation in the area, and some skin and autoimmune conditions all rule it out or need your doctor’s clearance first.
