Carboxytherapy injection is the subcutaneous injection of medical-grade carbon dioxide through a very fine needle. The gas spreads under the skin and, for a short time, widens the local blood vessels and increases oxygen delivery to the area. The published research is strongest for stretch marks and moderate for cellulite, scars and small localized areas, and shows that fat-thickness changes are temporary. It is not a replacement for hands-on scar tissue and fibrosis treatment; on post-surgical skin we use it only after your incisions have closed and your surgeon has cleared it.

What a Carboxytherapy Injection Session Is Like
About thirty minutes. Numbing cream goes on first, then a series of quick, shallow entries with a very fine needle while the device meters the gas. You feel pressure, a crackling under the skin and a spreading warmth; the area may look puffy and pink for an hour.
1 — Before
We confirm the area and screen you. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, heart, kidney or clotting conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, active infection and unhealed incisions rule it out. Post-surgical areas need your surgeon’s clearance.
2 — Injections
A numbing cream is applied, followed by an injection of carbon dioxide just under the skin. Clients typically report a sensation of pressure, warmth, and mild discomfort.
3 — After
The gas absorbs within minutes. Expect a puffy, warm, slightly crackly feel for up to an hour and possibly some bruises. No downtime; avoid heat and hard exercise that day.
4 — Between sessions
Weekly sessions: 3 to 6 visits for stretch marks and scars, 6 to 10 for cellulite and body areas, then a maintenance visit every 6 months. Drink water, restrain sunlight, no swimming or hot baths. We book the next visit before you leave.

Ten women had eight weekly sessions on the buttocks and back of the thighs. Blinded photo review moved cellulite from grade III to grade II (p = 0.0025) and ultrasound showed a more even fat layer, while weight and BMI did not change: the skin changed, not the fat. One small bruise in 80 sessions.

What is carboxytherapy injection? Is it the same as carboxy therapy or CO2 therapy?
Yes. Carboxytherapy, carboxy therapy and CO2 therapy injection are all names for the same treatment: small, metered injections of medical-grade carbon dioxide just under the skin through a very fine needle. The gas widens local blood vessels for a short time, which may support circulation and skin appearance in the treated area. Sessions take about 30 minutes.
Is this the same as the CO2 carboxy gel?
No. The carboxy gel is a topical mask with no needles. Carboxytherapy injects the gas under the skin. Same element, different treatment and different evidence.
Does carboxytherapy injection work?
It depends on what for. Published trials support it for stretch marks and cellulite: better skin elasticity, a drop in cellulite grade and modest, temporary changes in circumference. A sham-controlled trial found the reduction in abdominal fat did not last. We do not sell it as fat removal.
Does it hurt?
We apply numbing cream first. You still feel the needle entries and a pressure or spreading warmth as the gas moves under the skin, with a crackling feeling for a few minutes. Most people call it uncomfortable rather than painful. The area feels puffy for up to an hour and small bruises can appear.
Can I have it after surgery?
Once your incisions are closed and your surgeon has cleared it. We check both. It sits alongside post-op lymphatic drainage and scar tissue treatment; it does not replace either.
